Muey SC's Urtats Barrera got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dani Sendin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Acaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guayaquil City's Dani Sendin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veto Amocia in the 22nd minute of play. Xzavion Soterraña hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Cornelio Acaro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Muey SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Franco Felix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominguez Llago having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Cornelio Acaro made a precise shot to the right of Dani Sendin. Guayaquil City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. If Macías Vinuesa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Muey SC's Dominguez Llago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Macías Vinuesa in the 46th minute of play.

Paulo Boreyta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominguez Llago having to interfere. With a little luck, Guayaquil City's Dani Sendin got control of the ball when Veto Amocia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Veto Amocias short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Dani Sendin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Franco Felix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dominguez Llago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Muey SC's goal looked a bit too open when Macías Vinuesa came free, but Dominguez Llago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Muey SC's zone, Macías Vinuesa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dominguez Llago came out of the goal and Macías Vinuesa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Guayaquil City's goalkeeper Dani Sendin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Veto Amocia. Veto Amocia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dani Sendin having to interfere. Dominguez Llago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Boreyta, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Fortunato Cazarez hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Cornelio Acaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Macías Vinuesa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dominguez Llago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Veto Amocia took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dani Sendin. Dani Sendin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3.
