In the 4th match minute, Little Elm FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremy Greene to maneuver through the defense. Abe Medina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Asher Albright kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 13 minutes, Wendell Kimbrough mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rush NM and the Little Elm FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes Rush NM got a freekick which was hit by Wendell Kimbrough. Abe Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lamar Crow having to interfere. Abe Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lamar Crow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abe Medina in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wendell Kimbrough in the 33rd minute of play forced Little Elm FC's goalkeeper Stephen Freeman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Little Elm FC booed when Rush NM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyrus Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Abe Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 played minutes Little Elm FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremy Greene. It was beautiful to see Rush NM's Al Crowley in action when he in the 41st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abe Medina made a kick off. Asher Albright's late challenge caught a Little Elm FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asher Albright helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rush NM getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Asher Albright hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Rush NM's Ross Pryor got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Rush NM's Wendell Kimbrough got his second yellow card of the match in the 55th minute. The referee ordered Wendell Kimbrough off the ground. A collision led to Rush NM getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ross Pryor who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Stephen Freeman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Francesco Velasquez hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rush NM's zone, Logan Whalen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lamar Crow came out of the goal and Logan Whalen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ross Pryor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Stephen Freeman made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Manuel Vasquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rush NM's Asher Albright suffered a sore thigh after 89 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 89 minutes into the game, Francesco Velasquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Little Elm FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rush NM the free kick. If Francesco Velasquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lonnie Colby came free in the 96th minute and tried to tip the ball over Stephen Freeman, but to the joy of Little Elm FC's supporters the ball went over. The Rush NM players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
