Spectators: 7695 (Terracing: 5772, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abe Medina kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Forrest Bingham in the 3rd minute of play forced Little Elm FC's goalkeeper Rene Hanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 3 minutes into the game, Francesco Velasquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Little Elm FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave East Newark FC the free kick. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind East Newark FC's goalkeeper Alec Houston, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Little Elm FC's Abe Medina got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Alec Houston successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alan Lockwood hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Jeremy Greene's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Alec Houston skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Abe Medina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abe Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 minutes, Stanford Arias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the East Newark FC and the Little Elm FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stanford Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes, Little Elm FC's Alberto Vermudo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alec Houston came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Little Elm FC reached it. If Abe Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Little Elm FC's Abe Medina got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Little Elm FC's zone, Stanford Arias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Hanson came out of the goal and Stanford Arias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rocky Crews to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Jeremy Greene mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Little Elm FC and the East Newark FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. East Newark FC's Rocky Crews got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rene Hanson made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Stanford Arias sent off a good shot on target. Abe Medina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Alec Houston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alan Lockwood came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the East Newark FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Lockwood couldn't finish the play. In the 65th match minute, Little Elm FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremy Greene to maneuver through the defense. Alec Houston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abe Medina's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Abe Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the game, Russ Gil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. East Newark FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Little Elm FC the free kick. After 76 played minutes East Newark FC got a freekick which was hit by Russ Gil. Little Elm FC's Rene Hanson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Little Elm FC from getting a goal against them. Alec Houston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abe Medina in the 92nd minute of play. A collision led to Little Elm FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Abe Medina hit a great ball.
