Brendan Wolff started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Tim Davila had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Máté Galambos. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tim Davila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 7th minute Joaquin McDermott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Farris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Cyryl Karpinski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Freddie Farris. If Brendan Wolff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22ndth minute of the game Cyryl Karpinski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rebel Squids's Freddie Farris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute, Tristan Mansfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rebel Squids's Freddie Farris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyryl Karpinski in the 30th minute of play. Brendan Wolff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Máté Galambos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Rebel Squids got a corner. Boca Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tim Davila ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 34th minute of the match, Brendan Wolff tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Máté Galambos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Freddie Farris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blake Oliver in the 35th minute of play. Boca Juniors's Virgilio Molina was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Freddie Farris in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rebel Squids's Freddie Farris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyryl Karpinski in the 41st minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Kruse came free, but Máté Galambos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Cyryl Karpinski made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Monty Kruse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Blake Oliver struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Freddie Farris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. Joaquin McDermott took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddie Farris. Freddie Farris dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Joaquin McDermott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Tim Davila notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Boca Juniors's Máté Galambos. Máté Galambos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Máté Galambos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brendan Wolff's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Victor Burger hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Boca Juniors made a substitution. Al Jeffers replaced Cyryl Karpinski. Boca Juniors made a substitution. Lanny Rooney replaced Blake Oliver. A collision led to Rebel Squids getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Victor Burger hit a great ball. Boca Juniors's Máté Galambos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brendan Wolff in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Al Jeffers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddie Farris was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. When Brendan Wolff came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Rebel Squids fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brendan Wolff couldn't finish the play. Máté Galambos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brendan Wolff went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Rebel Squids booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. King Paris didn't get a good kick on the ball.
