Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nuno Gonçalves started the match with the kick off. Elói Vaz came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Quixelo SC's Nuno Gonçalves. But to his dismay, Nuno Gonçalves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Quixelo SC's goalkeeper Sabino Veloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juvenal Fonseca. In the 17th minute, Valdir do Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romário Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Elói Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sabino Veloso came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Alta's Juvenal Fonseca. But to his dismay, Juvenal Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 29th match minute, Alta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Martins to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Gonçalves in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elói Vaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sabino Veloso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valdir do Valle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 36 minute of play. In the 38th minute, Ronaldo Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juvenal Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabino Veloso having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Juvenal Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sabino Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdir do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Nuno Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romário Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The wind increased when Valdir do Valle made the kick off in the second half. Juvenal Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Sabino Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Alta got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Correia. Nuno Gonçalves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elói Vaz having to make a save. 58 minutes into the match, Quixelo SC's Nuno Gonçalves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elói Vaz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elói Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Gonçalves in the 65th minute of play. Elói Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romário Souto in the 66th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Alta's Valdir do Valle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sabino Veloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Ronaldo Martins hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Jerônimo Duarte sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Elói Vaz threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Jerônimo Duarte this time. Leonel Torres's late challenge caught a Quixelo SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Torres helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Alta got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Torres. After a rather tough play, Alta's Flávio do Vale got a free kick in the 81st minute. Romário Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elói Vaz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Quixelo SC's zone, Valdir do Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sabino Veloso came out of the goal and Valdir do Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sabino Veloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdir do Valle's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Quixelo SC's Cipriano Simões got a free kick in the 88th minute. A collision led to Quixelo SC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Nilson Macedo hit a great ball. Alfredo Meirelles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sabino Veloso. Quixelo SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Quixelo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Juvenal Fonseca came free, but Sabino Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Alta's goalkeeper Elói Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romário Souto. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Alta fans cheered their team off the field, for while Quixelo SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
