Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Betão Tepedino took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Edinho Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the game, Christiano Arósio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Claretiana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barral MZ Club the free kick. 16 minutes into the match, Claretiana's goalkeeper Ulisses Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zhao Wei Xiang. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zhao Wei Xiang got free with Ulisses Sanches in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maurinho Meirelles hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 26th match minute, Claretiana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Zonta to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes Claretiana got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Zonta. Zhao Wei Xiang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jânio Zonta's late challenge caught a Barral MZ Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jânio Zonta helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Claretiana getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jânio Zonta hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Zhao Wei Xiang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barral MZ Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Zhao Wei Xiang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulisses Sanches breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zhao Wei Xiang was the one to do the kick off. Barral MZ Club were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Claretiana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maurinho Meirelles took the corner. Barral MZ Club's Maurinho Meirelles was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ulisses Sanches in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Betão Tepedino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gian Herger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Claretiana's goal looked a bit too open when Zhao Wei Xiang came free, but Ulisses Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edinho Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Eduardo Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulisses Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhao Wei Xiang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Claretiana booed when Barral MZ Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvinho França didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhao Wei Xiang in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulisses Sanches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Claretiana getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Jerônimo Sousa hit a great ball. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Claretiana's goalkeeper Ulisses Sanches, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gian Herger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edinho Antunes in the 98th minute. Barral MZ Club succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Claretiana had controlled the match.
