Adolfo Mederi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gogo Damario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Berart having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tortugas's zone, Nemesio Koldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Mederi came out of the goal and Nemesio Koldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Berart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Blai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adolfo Mederi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nemesio Koldo in the 17th minute. If Osvaldo Jusepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Berart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Umea, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 28th minute Victoriano Blai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Berart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Berart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Damario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiburcio Primo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Mederi having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tortugas's Ismael Colon got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Adolfo Mederi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Jusepe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.S.y R.Gral.Fotheringham fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tortugas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
