Gualterio Madeo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Rafael Birila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Isótopos de Albuquerque's Reynaldo Geleberto got control of the ball when Gilberto Olayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilberto Olayo scored 1-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reynaldo Geleberto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Reynaldo Geleberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Guido Valery managed to get in a good position for a shot. Isótopos de Albuquerque's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Valery was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualterio Madeo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th minute Guido Valery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Madeo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualterio Madeo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramon Tiniebra in the 68th minute. Guido Valery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st match minute, Palmas F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Azubeli to maneuver through the defense.
