An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Berenguer in the 16th minute of play forced LS Football Club's goalkeeper Ariel Xabier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes LS Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Luisão Sioen. A collision led to LS Football Club getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Anselmo Sanchez hit a great ball. Fernando Maore took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ariel Xabier. LS Football Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nicanor Bingen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Ariel Xabier skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 22nd minute Nicanor Bingen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Xabier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Sanchez struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Pedro Urbes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LS Football Club. Gaspar Tavio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicanor Bingen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Ariel Xabier successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicanor Bingen in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Xabier saved LS Football Club from getting behind. Nicanor Bingen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ariel Xabier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomás Seguinus to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomás Seguinus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Urbes having to interfere. Anselmo Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Sanchez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Urbes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in LS Football Club's zone, Nicanor Bingen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ariel Xabier came out of the goal and Nicanor Bingen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Urbes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Seguinus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Marcos Cloyo fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 5 de Octubre de 2008's protests and gave Marcos Cloyo a yellow card for diving instead. Marcos Cloyo kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 95thth minute of the game Nicanor Bingen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LS Football Club's Ariel Xabier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. 5 de Octubre de 2008 had won after a very even match.
