In the 3rd match minute, CD ESPAÑOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Urki to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, River Plate's Teodosio Tulio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atahan Marraccini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Atahan Marraccini successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alvaro Iratzeder hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel-Omar Batistuta came free, but Rene Chale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When CD ESPAÑOL's Gabriel-Omar Batistuta in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye River Plate's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raul Goyo got free with Atahan Marraccini in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute, Fulgencio Eyague hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes, River Plate's Desiderio Faro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Atahan Marraccini came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in River Plate reached it. In the 22nd minute Artemio Filipo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atahan Marraccini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute Gabriel-Omar Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Chale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Chale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel-Omar Batistuta in the 28th minute of play. 冯岩默 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Atahan Marraccini made a huge save. 30 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel-Omar Batistuta came free, but Rene Chale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, CD ESPAÑOL's goalkeeper Atahan Marraccini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 冯岩默. 冯岩默 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Atahan Marraccini made a huge save. CD ESPAÑOL's Atahan Marraccini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save CD ESPAÑOL from getting a goal against them. Rene Chale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel-Omar Batistuta in the 38th minute of play. Atahan Marraccini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Goyo in the 41st minute of play. In the 41st minute, Raul Goyo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River Plate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Atahan Marraccini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Filipo in the 45th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel-Omar Batistuta was the one to do the kick off. Atahan Marraccini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 冯岩默 in the 52nd minute of play. CD ESPAÑOL's Atahan Marraccini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Filipo in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute of the match River Plate got a corner. CD ESPAÑOL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Teodosio Tulio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led River Plate's Teodosio Tulio to fire away a dangerous shot which Atahan Marraccini despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Raul Goyo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Atahan Marraccini. CD ESPAÑOL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raul Goyo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Atahan Marraccini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Filipo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel-Omar Batistuta came free, but Rene Chale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Filipo in the 70th minute of play forced CD ESPAÑOL's goalkeeper Atahan Marraccini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Raul Goyo came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Goyo couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes into the match, CD ESPAÑOL's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Goyo came free, but Atahan Marraccini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel-Omar Batistuta came free, but Rene Chale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Chale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillermo Ugaitz in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute, Gogo Ignazio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CD ESPAÑOL's Francisco Orlin was substituted for Florencio Uzuri. Atahan Marraccini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 冯岩默, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Rene Chale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Bero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atahan Marraccini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Goyo in the 95th minute of play. River Plate were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
