Gabriel-Omar Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Atilano Corderall ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Modesto Inocente was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Saldungaray AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo Selmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Saldungaray AFC's goalkeeper Modesto Inocente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guillermo Ugaitz.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Ignazio in the 90th minute of play forced Saldungaray AFC's goalkeeper Modesto Inocente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Modesto Inocente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Ignazio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Gogo Ignazio made a precise shot to the right of Modesto Inocente. Saldungaray AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CD ESPAÑOL had played much better football throughout.
