Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sammy Butterfield took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute Sammy Butterfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Dowrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fire Dragons's Tommy Dowrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Green in the 8th minute of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Sammy Butterfield managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curttannia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sammy Butterfield was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Damien Helks made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basil Barfield in the 16th minute. Damien Helks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kelvin Whiteley's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. The supporters of Fire Dragons booed when Curttannia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Saville didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basil Barfield who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Damien Helks when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Basil Barfield had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damien Helks. Curttannia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basil Barfield was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 31 minutes of play, Curttannia FC's Sammy Butterfield made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Dowrick was left in no man's land by his defense there! Christopher Barltrop kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Kelvin Whiteley recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Damien Helks. Kelvin Whiteley showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Kelvin Whiteley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damien Helks having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After having played for 55 minutes, Tyler Pointon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curttannia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyler Pointon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Basil Barfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes Curttannia FC got a freekick which was hit by Wes Lovett. Damien Helks came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Fire Dragons's Basil Barfield. But to his dismay, Basil Barfield quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 73rd minute, Kelvin Whiteley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Steve Tubbs fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fire Dragons's protests and gave Steve Tubbs a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Fire Dragons's Steve Tubbs got a free kick in the 78th minute. Joshua Green kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Basil Barfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Damien Helks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kelvin Whiteley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Fire Dragons's Kelvin Whiteley got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kelvin Whiteley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basil Barfield struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Damien Helks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fire Dragons. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Curttannia FC's goalkeeper Damien Helks, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tyler Pointon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Curttannia FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
