Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Knut Kirkerud got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Oslo AC's Lars Stray got a free kick in the 2nd minute. When Trondheim FC's Patrik Ramstad in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oslo AC's goalie prevented a goal. After 8 minutes, Jostein Aamodt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trondheim FC and the Oslo AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th minute, Jostein Aamodt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute Knut Kirkerud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole-Petter Nærø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Oslo AC's Martin Hegre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ole-Petter Nærø made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ole-Petter Nærø showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Knut Kirkerud, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Trondheim FC's Patrik Ramstad in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oslo AC's goalie prevented a goal. Ole-Petter Nærø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigve Stavrum in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Trondheim FC's Sverre Synnes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andreas Sundby made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Trondheim FC's Patrik Ramstad in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oslo AC's goalie prevented a goal. Trondheim FC's Patrik Ramstad got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrik Ramstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Andreas Sundby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Jostein Aamodt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andreas Sundby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Ramstad in the 46th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrik Ramstad was the one to do the kick off. If Patrik Ramstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrik Ramstad in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Sundby saved Oslo AC from getting behind. In the 63rd minute, Sverre Synnes made a precise shot to the right of Andreas Sundby. Oslo AC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 68th play minutes Knut Kirkerud shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Ole-Petter Nærø and just under the crossbar into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Sverre Synnes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trondheim FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sverre Synnes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Sundby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Oslo AC's zone, Sverre Synnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Sundby came out of the goal and Sverre Synnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Patrik Ramstad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andreas Sundby was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. In the 79th minute, Stian Follestad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute Oddvar Jønsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Sundby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrik Ramstad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Sverre Synnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oddvar Jønsson struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Andreas Sundby didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trondheim FC. Trondheim FC's Ole-Petter Nærø played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Kirkerud in the 94th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Trondheim FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
