In the 2nd minute, Hans Lilleeng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Kirkenær BF getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jan-Kenneth Nerhus hit a great ball. Dag Anderssen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jo Reitan, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Jonathan Omlands short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Dag Anderssen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Kovlands IF's Dag Anderssen got control of the ball when Storm Furu tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Kirkenær BF's Dag Anderssen threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tor-Kristian Høyland, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Håvard Skramstad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Jenssen in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes in the game, Jo Reitan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dag Anderssen having to interfere. Håvard Skramstad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars-Erik Wathne, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Kirkenær BF's goal looked a bit too open when Lars-Erik Wathne came free, but Håvard Skramstad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Omland struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Dag Anderssen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kirkenær BF. Kirkenær BF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Snorre Lillebø in the 39th minute. A well done corner resulted in Jonathan Omland drilling the ball in to score 2-0 behind Kovlands IF's goalkeeper. Jo Reitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dag Anderssen having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jonathan Omland made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Jonathan Omland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kirkenær BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Omland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dag Anderssen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Jonathan Omland sped through Kovlands IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dag Anderssen. John-Einar Astrup hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. If Jo Reitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Kovlands IF's zone, Jonathan Omland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dag Anderssen came out of the goal and Jonathan Omland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dag Anderssen came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Kirkenær BF's Jo Reitan. But to his dismay, Jo Reitan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 83 minutes into the game, Jonathan Omland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Dag Anderssen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Kovlands IF getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Noah Tømmervik hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes, Kirkenær BF's Snorre Lillebø shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dag Anderssen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kirkenær BF reached it. Dag Anderssen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Storm Furu in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Jonathan Omland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dag Anderssen. Kovlands IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathan Omland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. There was no doubt that Kirkenær BF were the better team. Kirkenær BF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
