Ġorġ Callus hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, karawetta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Cilia came free, but Marco Grech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Ben Mumford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kyle Jaccarini was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Cedric Chetcuti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th match minute, AC Trampi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Zampa to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Ben Mumford had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kyle Jaccarini. AC Trampi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ben Mumford was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Kyle Jaccarini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Mumford, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cedric Chetcuti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Refalo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Grech read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play.
