After 4 played minutes, Romanian Patriots's Olimpiu Frumuzache shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Augustin Geangu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Romanian Patriots reached it. Iosif Eftimescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihail Codreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Iosif Eftimescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihail Codreanu in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Mihail Codreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zarneni's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihail Codreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iosif Eftimescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Săndulescu in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augustin Geangu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mihail Codreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Iosif Eftimescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mihail Codreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Drăgănoiu during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Romanian Patriots getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Emanuel Drăgănoiu hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, Mihail Codreanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iosif Eftimescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mihail Codreanu's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 45th minute, Mihail Codreanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iosif Eftimescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The Romanian Patriots players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zarneni were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mihail Codreanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Mihail Codreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Iosif Eftimescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iosif Eftimescu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cristi Drăgan. Roch Wallach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Huțupan hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Romanian Patriots's goalkeeper Iosif Eftimescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Zarneni booed when Romanian Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Zberea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mihail Codreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Săndulescu in the 85th minute of play forced Zarneni's goalkeeper Augustin Geangu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th match minute, Zarneni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionuț Porumbescu to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Zarneni's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Gârneț came free, but Augustin Geangu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augustin Geangu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Gârneț in the 91st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Octavian Gherase during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Zarneni getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Octavian Gherase hit a great ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Cornel Gârneț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romanian Patriots's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornel Gârneț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Romanian Patriots fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Zarneni were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
