In the 20th minute of the match Cristian Basarabescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mihai Zegreanu skillfully saved the ball. Robert Udrişte hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. CS Botosani BTF's Mihai Zegreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Albeanu in the 22nd minute of play. Dragoş Vochin's late challenge caught a C.I.L. SIGHET -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dragoş Vochin helped the player get up and apologised. 30 minutes into the match, C.I.L. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liviu Avramescu got free with Mihai Zegreanu in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Felix Albeanu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mihai Zegreanu, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Albeanu in the 45th minute of play forced CS Botosani BTF's goalkeeper Mihai Zegreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 1-0 became the score in the 47th minute when Liviu Avramescu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Albeanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Mihai Zegreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Albeanu in the 54th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, Horia Bogrea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CS Botosani BTF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.I.L. SIGHET -MM- the free kick. SIGHET -MM-'s Constantin Ţăranu got control of the ball when Eric Avramescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. SIGHET -MM-'s Constantin Ţăranu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Vochin in the 72nd minute of play. After 72 played minutes C.I.L. SIGHET -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Mihnea Mărculescu. Mihai Zegreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Avramescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Avramescu in the 82nd minute of play forced CS Botosani BTF's goalkeeper Mihai Zegreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucian Onaca's late challenge caught a C.I.L. SIGHET -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The penalty shot was made by Cristian Basarabescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CS Botosani BTF's Mihai Zegreanu. 3-0. 88 minutes into the game, Felix Albeanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Mihai Zegreanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Constantin Ţăranu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Avramescu in the 92nd minute. A collision led to CS Botosani BTF getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Horia Bogrea hit a great ball. When Felix Albeanu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 99 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Mihai Zegreanu was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the CS Botosani BTF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C.I.L. SIGHET -MM-.
