Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Octav Boc started the match with the kick off. Mihai Zegreanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emil Bobei went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 7 minutes into the game, Ion Zeciu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Mihai Zegreanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 10 minutes, Alex Tarcu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CS Botosani BTF and the Cricau players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Octav Boc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cricau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Ion Zeciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Zegreanu having to interfere. Horia Bogrea kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Mihai Zegreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Bobei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mihai Zegreanu came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Cricau's Emil Bobei. But to his dismay, Emil Bobei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. George Mercea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Tarcu in the 22nd minute of the match. George Mercea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Avramescu in the 23rd minute. Mihai Zegreanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Narcis Barbosu's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. When Narcis Barbosu came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Cricau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narcis Barbosu couldn't finish the play. Mihai Zegreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Boc, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Emil Bobei took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mihai Zegreanu. Mihai Zegreanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Tarcu to make the kick off. Mihai Zegreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Bobei, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. With his leg Mihai Zegreanu managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Cricau's Octav Boc fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Emil Bobei kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mihai Zegreanu. That made the score 0-7 in the 60 minute of play. Octav Boc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Mihai Zegreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Cricau's Emil Bobei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mihai Zegreanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of CS Botosani BTF booed when Cricau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Simionescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Tarcu kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Narcis Barbosu struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Mihai Zegreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cricau. The crowd rose to their feet as Ion Zeciu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mihai Zegreanu. That made the score 0-9 in the 86 minute of play. Mihai Zegreanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emil Bobei's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Bobei in the 91st minute of play forced CS Botosani BTF's goalkeeper Mihai Zegreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ion Zeciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, CS Botosani BTF's Dragoş Vochin got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Mihai Zegreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Bobei in the 99th minute of play.
