An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Barbu in the 9th minute of play forced VIP's goalkeeper Dumitru Berca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, VIP's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Barbu came free, but Dumitru Berca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 played minutes FC Steaua Pildesti got a freekick which was hit by Börje Forsman. VIP's Dumitru Berca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Stere in the 21st minute of play. Pavel Nacu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dobri Karapetrov in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, VIP's Ionuț Cerchez got a free kick in the 31st minute. Börje Forsman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dumitru Berca. VIP's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dumitru Berca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Pumarejo in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by VIP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Börje Forsman was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Steaua Pildesti's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Nicolae Barbu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but VIP's Dumitru Berca did a great save. Dumitru Berca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolae Barbu's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. VIP's Dumitru Berca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Pumarejo in the 37th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Liu Sang Chao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Ştefan Coșereanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pavel Nacu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When FC Steaua Pildesti's Nicolae Barbu in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VIP's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 51stth minute of the game Sebastian Ţugui who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Steaua Pildesti's Pavel Nacu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pavel Nacu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronny Brovall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Steaua Pildesti's Pavel Nacu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Ţugui in the 58th minute of play. Dumitru Berca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zygmunt Dunajski in the 71st minute of the match. Nicolae Barbu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Dumitru Berca made a huge save. 86 minutes into the match, VIP's goalkeeper Dumitru Berca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucian Stere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolae Barbu got free with Dumitru Berca in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Constantin Deșliu hit a great ball. If Dobri Karapetrov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. VIP's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
