Gunyah's Jayden Clinton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Todd Glover in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Gunyah getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Boyd Potter hit a great ball. Richard Mosley hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Boyce Ambrose hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Carsyn Ashwin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When PEI United's Carsyn Ashwin in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gunyah's goalie prevented a goal. PEI United's supporters rose to their feet, but Carsyn Ashwin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jayden Clinton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Mosley struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Neale Peach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gunyah. Boyce Ambrose received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Neale Peach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
54 minutes into the match, Bartholemew Unicomb notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of PEI United's Neale Peach. Neale Peach was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Boyce Ambrose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the game, Boyd Potter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gunyah's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PEI United the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Gunyah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boyd Potter to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of PEI United booed when Gunyah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Mosley didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of PEI United booed when Gunyah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boyd Potter didn't get a good kick on the ball. PEI United were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
