Ruben Damario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Christopher Love made a huge save. In the 12th minute, Raimundo Urtungo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th match minute, Club A Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Francis to maneuver through the defense. Jim Mitchell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Aurelio Darien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Samuel Francis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christopher Love was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. If Michael Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michael Dalton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29thth minute of the game Michael Dalton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club A Independiente's Aurelio Darien was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Michael Dalton put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Aurelio Darien. Christopher Love made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Francis in the 35th minute. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Jim Mitchell sped through Club A Independiente's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aurelio Darien. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuel Francis in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christopher Love saved Margaret Atwood Impact from getting behind. Aurelio Darien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hylton Brookes in the 45th minute of play. Aurelio Darien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timothy Watson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christopher Love made an important save on a dangerous shot by 马义弘 in the 48th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samuel Francis made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Ruben Damario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club A Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruben Damario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christopher Love prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurelio Darien made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Timothy Watson sent off a good shot on target. Christopher Love took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th match minute, Club A Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Cordairo to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Mathew Gunter sped through Club A Independiente's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aurelio Darien. Christopher Love showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 马义弘, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Aurelio Darien made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michael Dalton in the 87th minute. The Club A Independiente fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Club A Independiente's Samuel Francis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
