Indonesia's Zulkarnaen Mandaga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thomas Lawrie charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas Lawrie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Scotland got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Lawrie. Indonesia's Haji Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paddy Thomson in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 15th minute of play forced Scotland's goalkeeper Robert Davison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Zulkarnaen Mandaga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Robert Davison was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Haji Sarap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth McNee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haji Sarap made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Fergus Campbell sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 24th minute of play forced Scotland's goalkeeper Robert Davison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haji Sarap stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fergus Campbell's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Scotland's Robert Davison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 29th minute of play. Indonesia's Haji Sarap proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Indonesia from getting a goal against them. When Scotland's Fergus Campbell in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Indonesia's goalie prevented a goal. Zulkarnaen Mandaga scored 0-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robert Davison, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Archie Brodie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Haji Sarap made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Zulkarnaen Mandaga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Davison was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Scotland! The referee gave Indonesia a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cerdic Pintar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Scotland's Robert Davison. 0-3. After 47th play minutes Zulkarnaen Mandaga shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Robert Davison and just under the crossbar into goal. Indonesia's April Idris was substituted for Cerdic Pintar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fergus Campbell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Zulkarnaen Mandaga took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Robert Davison to make any attempt to save it. Robert Davison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 58th minute of play. Zulkarnaen Mandaga took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robert Davison. Robert Davison dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. 65 minutes into the match, Indonesia's goal looked a bit too open when Fergus Campbell came free, but Haji Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Davison made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when April Idris sent off a good shot on target. When Scotland's Archie Brodie in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Indonesia's goalie prevented a goal. Haji Sarap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth McNee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves April Idris could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Robert Davison however easily saved by the left post. In the 79th minute, Phoenix Kante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haji Sarap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archie Brodie in the 80th minute of play. Scotland's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Thomas Lawrie in the 82nd minute. If Hanung Sephtianda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bodo Amat fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Indonesia's protests and gave Bodo Amat a yellow card for diving instead. Indonesia's Muchlis Salampessy was substituted for Zulkarnaen Mandaga. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Indonesia! Thomas Lawrie took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Haji Sarap. Haji Sarap dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. 95 minutes into the match, Indonesia's goal looked a bit too open when Fergus Campbell came free, but Haji Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Indonesia getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. April Idris hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when April Idris got free with Robert Davison in the 100th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Indonesia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
