Albania's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehat Kovaçi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaapo Velikiy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Slovakia's zone, Mehat Kovaçi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaapo Velikiy came out of the goal and Mehat Kovaçi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Daniel Mikla came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Slovakia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Mikla couldn't finish the play. Albania's Marjus Laçka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Mikla in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Mehat Kovaçi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaapo Velikiy. Slovakia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mehat Kovaçi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3.
