In the 21st minute, Valentin Simuţ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Academia Rio's Basarab Irod got a free kick in the 24th minute. Radu Păvăloae kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. With his leg Francisc Elisei managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Academia Rio's Basarab Irod fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in FC Liverpool YnWa's zone, Radu Păvăloae stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisc Elisei came out of the goal and Radu Păvăloae tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Basarab Irod to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, FC Liverpool YnWa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustinian Ţeica to maneuver through the defense. In the 52nd minute of the match Alex Nicolae shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisc Elisei showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 54 minutes into the match, FC Liverpool YnWa's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Coșeriu came free, but Francisc Elisei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 minutes of play, Academia Rio's Radu Păvăloae made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisc Elisei was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the FC Liverpool YnWa defense, Radu Păvăloae kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisc Elisei. The FC Liverpool YnWa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisc Elisei should have stopped the shot. Francisc Elisei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Păvăloae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes, Basarab Irod made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC Liverpool YnWa's Francisc Elisei tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 70th minute of the match, Octav Stratulat tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gigel Tilea saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Irod in the 74th minute of play forced FC Liverpool YnWa's goalkeeper Francisc Elisei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Liverpool YnWa's Francisc Elisei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Coșeriu in the 75th minute of play. Francisc Elisei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basarab Irod's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Radu Păvăloae put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Francisc Elisei. After 86 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Irod. After having played for 89 minutes, Octav Stratulat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Liverpool YnWa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octav Stratulat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 90 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Jean Oltean. In the 93rd minute Basarab Irod shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisc Elisei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, FC Liverpool YnWa's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Irod came free, but Francisc Elisei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Academia Rio walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
