The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But to his dismay, Zeledon Savion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bradley Barrett got free with Fulgencio Eyague in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuralp Başdemir in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fulgencio Eyague prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guaberto Jacindo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Fulgencio Eyague made a huge save. The nice shot from Bradley Barrett in the 26thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Fulgencio Eyague had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aristide Ciuvică in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baron Buffon saved Los Muñes de Don Cuco from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the match was over AC LeX Luthor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Los Muñes de Don Cuco throughout the match.
