When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Augusto Clemente put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fulgencio Eyague. Alvaro Rotili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristide Ciuvică, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute Alexander Bottone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, A.S. Udinese's Merexildo Oliveras got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 15 minutes A.S. Udinese's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mario Yepes who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to AC LeX Luthor's Modesto Jaunzuria getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Fulgencio Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Clemente in the 22nd minute of play. Fulgencio Eyague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberigo Di Franco, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a little luck, A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili got control of the ball when Zeledon Savion tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberigo Di Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Fulgencio Eyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Alvaro Rotili managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when AC LeX Luthor's Zeledon Savion fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zeledon Savion struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Alvaro Rotili didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC LeX Luthor. Fulgencio Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Bottone in the 39th minute of play. Aristide Ciuvică received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alvaro Rotili came out and tried to block the shot, but Aristide Ciuvică slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 47th minute. A.S. Udinese's Bianco De Vito was substituted for Merexildo Oliveras.

The wind increased when Aristide Ciuvică made the kick off in the second half. Aristide Ciuvică took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvaro Rotili. Alvaro Rotili dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Alvaro Rotili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Savion in the 58th minute of the match. Rodion Nikitin took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvaro Rotili. Alvaro Rotili dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. A.S. Udinese's Ercole Fiorentino was substituted for Augusto Clemente. AC LeX Luthor made a substitution. Peep Pronk replaced Aristide Ciuvică. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermenegildo Ventura in the 71st minute of play forced A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Alvaro Rotili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, A.S. Udinese's Alberigo Di Franco got a free kick in the 77th minute. 82 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's goal looked a bit too open when Rodion Nikitin came free, but Alvaro Rotili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Rodion Nikitin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvaro Rotili was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Dino Pozzoli hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the A.S. Udinese players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AC LeX Luthor.
