In the 7th minute, Emanuel Vornicescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The -BZF- Barca de Buzau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Academia Rio's Gabriel Vişoianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Vornicescu in the 10th minute of play. Teodor Dan hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Otețea came free, but Gabriel Vişoianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Vişoianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Movileanu in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Emanuel Movileanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 played minutes, Academia Rio's Teodor Dan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Stanca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Academia Rio reached it. In the 19th match minute, -BZF- Barca de Buzau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Vornicescu to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Vişoianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Vornicescu in the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Liviu Răuţă got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 31 minutes, Emanuel Vornicescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -BZF- Barca de Buzau and the Academia Rio players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emanuel Vornicescu hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Vornicescu came free, but Gabriel Vişoianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Vişoianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Ionașcu in the 40th minute of play. Aurel Ionașcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victor Crăcană kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Academia Rio's Bogdan Floruțiu got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ionică Negrescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Ionică Negrescu hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Gabriel Vişoianu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anton Otețea in the 52nd minute. Emanuel Stanca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Irimescu in the 54th minute of play. After 55 played minutes -BZF- Barca de Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Vornicescu. If Emanuel Vornicescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bogdan Floruțiu hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After 68 minutes, Horia Irimescu made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Emanuel Stanca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goalkeeper Gabriel Vişoianu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Otețea. Thanks to some nice moves Anton Otețea could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Gabriel Vişoianu however easily saved by the left post. Victor Crăcană charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Crăcană the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Academia Rio getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Victor Crăcană hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Anton Otețea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Vişoianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Stanca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ionică Negrescu went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Emanuel Movileanu took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Gabriel Vişoianu to make any attempt to save it. Gabriel Vişoianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Otețea in the 85th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, -BZF- Barca de Buzau failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
