Gigel Tilea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris-George Chevalier, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When Chris-George Chevalier, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 19 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Gigel Tilea was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Nikola Vlašić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gigel Tilea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Nikola Vlašić came free, but Gigel Tilea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris-George Chevalier in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigel Tilea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gigel Tilea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Academia Rio players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chevaliers FC were winning 0-5.
Chevaliers FC made a substitution. Teodor Vornicescu replaced Cristinel Pandele. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cornel Poplăcan to strike the kick off in the second half. Chevaliers FC's Chris-George Chevalier was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 54th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Chevaliers FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Calvin Huff in the 70th minute. Chevaliers FC's Nikola Vlašić was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gigel Tilea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A hard shot 75 in the game by Chris-George Chevalier from a close distance when the talented Gigel Tilea managed to make a qualified save. Academia Rio's players were relieved. Antonio Navarro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gigel Tilea firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Chevaliers FC booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Petriceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 84 minutes Academia Rio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Calvin Huff who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Antonio Navarro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Mihai Oniga fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia Rio's protests and gave Mihai Oniga a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Mihai Oniga. Calvin Huff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Radu Păvăloae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chevaliers FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
