After a rather tough play, Hamburg Fighters's Maicon Fonseca got a free kick in the 6th minute. With a little luck, Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis got control of the ball when Erling Gentenaar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Szilárd Újváry who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Three Towers United's Dida Gentenaar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leandros Hölsch during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leandros Hölsch hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Erling Gentenaar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pavlos Konstantakakis. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erling Gentenaar got free with Pavlos Konstantakakis in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Alaba Gentenaar fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Three Towers United's protests and gave Alaba Gentenaar a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Three Towers United getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alaba Gentenaar hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Three Towers United's zone, Gianluca Balla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dida Gentenaar came out of the goal and Gianluca Balla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erling Gentenaar in the 29th minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erling Gentenaar might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pavlos Konstantakakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erling Gentenaar ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erling Gentenaar. In the 33rd minute, Gianluca Balla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hamburg Fighters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Maicon Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, one of Hamburg Fighters:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hamburg Fighters. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erling Gentenaar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Three Towers United got a freekick which was hit by Trent Gentenaar. In the 61st minute, Szilárd Újváry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dida Gentenaar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Szilárd Újváry in the 65th minute of play. After 74 played minutes Three Towers United got a freekick which was hit by Alaba Gentenaar. Szilárd Újváry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Gentenaar having to interfere. Dida Gentenaar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gianluca Balla in the 92nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Szilárd Újváry in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Gentenaar saved Three Towers United from getting behind.
