After 32 minutes Hertha 1969's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wieland Wipp who took care of the corner kick. The audience was convinced that Gunter Waller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dida Gentenaar was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Hertha 1969's Ziemowit Tscherner got a free kick in the 40th minute. The throw-in from Ziemowit Tscherner in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Three Towers United's Aubameyang Gentenaar. If Wilhelm Nienhaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The Three Towers United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dida Gentenaar should have stopped the shot. Dida Gentenaar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomáš Pluháček hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match.
