Achille Albanesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zsolt Veress in the 8th minute of play. Claudinho Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulvio Grande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13thth minute of the game Hugó Révész who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.S.C. NAPOLI's Achille Albanesi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Lupi in the 14th minute of play forced Keszi Athletic's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinho Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Lupi in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulvio Grande in the 16th minute of play forced Keszi Athletic's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Fulvio Grande ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudinho Taffarel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Achille Albanesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vaios Vourtzoumis in the 19th minute of play. Alvaro Lupi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stan Eversden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinho Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Claudinho Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulvio Grande, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 89th minute Fulvio Grande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Martin Österlund in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Keszi Athletic's Sabin Calderon. After a rather tough play, Keszi Athletic's István Gyurkovics got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Diego Vargas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 97 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Diego Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute Sabin Calderon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achille Albanesi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
