Victoriano Bernaldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximo Villamarin went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute Darryl Buckner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dawid Ratulowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Villamarin in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Maximo Villamarin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Victoriano Bernaldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Red Reign made a substitution. Carlos Casemiro replaced Ximun Jaen. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Luís Fernando Cadena made the kick off in the second half. Victoriano Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Casemiro in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Carlos Casemiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Reign's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Casemiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Bernaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Casemiro in the 56th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Red Reign's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xavion Sorriva in the 63rd minute. After taking down the ball on Red Reign's corner Paco Parra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Victoriano Bernaldo quite easily take care of the ball. Jacobo Policarpio's late challenge caught a Red Reign's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacobo Policarpio helped the player get up and apologised. Victoriano Bernaldo had in the 87thth minute some difficulties stopping Luís Fernando Cadena's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Carlos Casemiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Reign's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Casemiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luís Fernando Cadena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
