Andre-Yann Dospel's late challenge caught a Cobresal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andre-Yann Dospel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre-Yann Dospel to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Gaitano Valdovinos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cris Courtois. Wambalamba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaitano Valdovinos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cris Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaitano Valdovinos in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Juarês Donato cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ionuț Aluneanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cris Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Cuadrado, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Cobresal's Ionuț Aluneanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Finnman in the 18th minute of play. In the 24th minute of the match, Huang Tian Yun tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ionuț Aluneanu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 25 minutes into the match, Wambalamba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Scapini came free, but Cris Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cris Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaitano Valdovinos in the 34th minute of play. In the 46th minute Dino Scapini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cris Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gregorio Quintero was the one to do the kick off. Ionuț Aluneanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Léo Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute of the match Cobresal got a corner. Wambalamba FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dino Scapini ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dino Scapini made a great header on Cobresal's corner, it was just that Wambalamba FC's Cris Courtois managed to reach the ball for a save. Cris Courtois was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dino Scapini showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 54 minute of play. Ionuț Aluneanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Finnman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wambalamba FC's Cris Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Scapini in the 61st minute of play. Ionuț Aluneanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Léo Souto went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. The attack was good, but when Gaitano Valdovinos in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Wambalamba FC's Cris Courtois proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Wambalamba FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Léo Souto in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionuț Aluneanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Wambalamba FC booed when Cobresal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Quintero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Cobresal's Augusto Pirinchev got a free kick in the 94th minute. Wambalamba FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cobresal for a fine match.
