In the 15th minute, Rudy Sigaran reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joacim Dromph. The goal made the score 2-0. With a little luck, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Joacim Dromph got control of the ball when Christian Najarro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baltazar Gallardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desislav Sergeev in the 21st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Desislav Sergeev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baltazar Gallardo was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Christian Najarro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Joacim Dromph made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remy Uytdebroeck in the 24th minute of play forced Guatemala's goalkeeper Baltazar Gallardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. András Havasi hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The long shot by Edgar Salinas in the 26th minute really tested Joacim Dromph's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Christian Najarro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Joacim Dromph made a huge save. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Botev Plovdiv 1912's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edgar Salinas was slow to take the kick. During this time Guatemala's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Natanael Guedes in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltazar Gallardo saved Guatemala from getting behind. Baltazar Gallardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desislav Sergeev in the 37th minute of the match. Christian Najarro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Joacim Dromph when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Joacim Dromph proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Botev Plovdiv 1912 from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Christian Najarro could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Joacim Dromph however easily saved by the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alf Hansson was the one to do the kick off. Joacim Dromph showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan José Ferraro in the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of Botev Plovdiv 1912 booed when Guatemala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudy Sigaran didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 minutes of play, Guatemala's Juan José Ferraro made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joacim Dromph was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guatemala made a substitution. Angel Alvarenga replaced Claudio Cabrera. Botev Plovdiv 1912 made a substitution. The tension between the Guatemala and the Botev Plovdiv 1912 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes Guatemala got a freekick which was hit by Josue Cortez. Joacim Dromph came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Guatemala's Juan José Ferraro. But to his dismay, Juan José Ferraro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After 77 played minutes Guatemala got a freekick which was hit by Josue Cortez. The audience was convinced that Christian Najarro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joacim Dromph was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Alf Hansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltazar Gallardo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lukasz Okropny. Natanael Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Juan José Ferraro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joacim Dromph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Christian Najarro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joacim Dromph was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Joacim Dromph played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan José Ferraro in the 91st minute of play. After 93 minutes Botev Plovdiv 1912's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edgar Salinas who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Juan Orozco managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Guatemala booed when Botev Plovdiv 1912 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Borre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joacim Dromph showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Salinas in the 97th minute of the match. Botev Plovdiv 1912's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
