With a little luck, Belgium's Lennart Kempeneers got control of the ball when Konstanty Brzęczyszczykiewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Ireland's Lennart Kempeneers threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gearoid Mulvihill, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 18 minutes into the match, Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when Wesly Goemyne came free, but Ter Stegen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, Ireland's Brandan McWill made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lennart Kempeneers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Torrey Molloy came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lennart Kempeneers could save by the left post. Torrey Molloy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Lennart Kempeneers made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Andries in the 45th minute of play forced Ireland's goalkeeper Ter Stegen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lennart Kempeneers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brandan McWill's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. After the first half Belgium were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 55 played minutes Ireland got a freekick which was hit by Cacey Walker. After 60 played minutes Ireland got a freekick which was hit by Rudy Lukas. Bob Leerbels recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 65 minutes, William Andries made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Ireland's Ter Stegen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Belgium's Lennart Kempeneers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torrey Molloy in the 71st minute of play. 78 minutes in the game Cacey Walker did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Konstanty Brzęczyszczykiewicz. Belgium's Lennart Kempeneers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torrey Molloy in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jerome Boateng was slow to take the kick. During this time Ireland's players had a chance to rest. Jerome Boateng made a great header on Ireland's corner, it was just that Belgium's Lennart Kempeneers managed to reach the ball for a save. The corner led Ireland's Jerome Boateng to fire away a dangerous shot which Lennart Kempeneers despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 86 minutes into the game, William Andries recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ter Stegen. William Andries showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. In the 92nd match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niels Vandamme to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute of the match Jerome Boateng sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lennart Kempeneers skillfully saved the ball. Lennart Kempeneers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brandan McWill in the 95th minute of play. The Ireland supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Belgium's performance. The match ended with a win for Belgium.
