Vilhelm Brander was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Rickard Lundgren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rickard Lundgren really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Kingpins's Christer Fernström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Strömbom in the 17th minute of play. If Vincent Bjurström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kronan's goalkeeper Vilhelm Brander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 24 minutes Kronan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jean-Baptiste Lacroix who took care of the corner kick. Vilhelm Brander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Västerstrand, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Vilhelm Brander made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Pang Jun sent off a good shot on target. Pang Jun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Vilhelm Brander made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Kingpins's Pang Jun slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vilhelm Brander. That made the score 4-0 after 32 minutes of play. Vilhelm Brander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pang Jun in the 39th minute of play. Vilhelm Brander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Lundgren in the 41st minute of play. Vilhelm Brander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Vialli, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When Ragnar Fridlund fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kronan's protests and gave Ragnar Fridlund a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Kronan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ragnar Fridlund to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gianluca Vialli made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play Kronan's Ragnar Fridlund was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Vilhelm Brander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Västerstrand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Pang Jun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilhelm Brander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Kronan's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Västerstrand came free, but Vilhelm Brander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vilhelm Brander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Lundgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Gianluca Vialli notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Kronan's Vilhelm Brander. Vilhelm Brander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Kronan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vilhelm Brander should have stopped the shot.
