Spectators: 10466 (Terracing: 7925, Seating: 2325, VIP seats: 216) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Victor Santxol started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Victor Santxol made a precise shot to the right of Ingemar Åberg. Protegéerna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Python got free with Carl Engström in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute Guido Python shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Engström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Surahammar's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Python came free, but Carl Engström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingemar Åberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Benett, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 17 minutes of play, Surahammar's Vincent Benett made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ingemar Åberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Protegéerna made a substitution. Ulrik Söderlund replaced Christer Nyberg. When Vincent Benett came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Surahammar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincent Benett couldn't finish the play. Protegéerna's Ingemar Åberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Santxol in the 38th minute of play. When Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Surahammar's goalie prevented a goal. Carl Engström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Skarkman in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Benett in the 51st minute of play forced Protegéerna's goalkeeper Ingemar Åberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toninho Lara made in the 53rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Markus Wallman. Ingemar Åberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Santxol in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute Victor Santxol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Åberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincent Benett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Surahammar made a substitution. Folke Skröder replaced Jens Back. If Petter Skarkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Surahammar's André Pettersson in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Petter Skarkman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carl Engström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Mark Brovall made in the 80th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Protegéerna's Paolo-César Maldini. Surahammar's Carl Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petter Skarkman in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Petter Skarkman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carl Engström was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Protegéerna's Ingemar Åberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Benett in the 84th minute of play. Petter Skarkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petter Skarkman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carl Engström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Petter Skarkman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Protegéerna's supporters rose to their feet, but Petter Skarkman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Engström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Benett in the 92nd minute of play forced Protegéerna's goalkeeper Ingemar Åberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Paolo-César Maldini threw the ball into play from the sideline. Surahammar's Mark Brovall quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Surahammar walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
