The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Semen Berezutskiy during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for WWW LENINGRAD! WWW LENINGRAD:s Stepan Babich showed great skill when he stopped Fermin Oton:s penalty. Rudolf Budraitis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Emiliano Benitez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Blitzkrieg's goalkeeper Emiliano Benitez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emiliano Benitez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikolay Zanin, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 29 minutes Blitzkrieg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nikolay Zanin who took care of the corner kick. Lisandro Valente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stepan Babich made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Prudencio Bilbo sent off a good shot on target. WWW LENINGRAD's Stepan Babich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save WWW LENINGRAD from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Blitzkrieg getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Salvador Navarro hit a great ball. Blitzkrieg's Emiliano Benitez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikolay Zanin in the 44th minute of play. Prudencio Bilbo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stepan Babich having to make a save. With a little luck, WWW LENINGRAD's Stepan Babich got control of the ball when Prudencio Bilbo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Grigore Mergea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. WWW LENINGRAD's Tiburcio Tabor was substituted for Ruslan Nekrasov. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Prudencio Bilbo made the kick off in the second half. Emiliano Benitez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Mergea, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to WWW LENINGRAD getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Igor Ivanov hit a great ball. In the 59th minute of the match Fermin Oton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stepan Babich showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Stepan Babich stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Prudencio Bilbo's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. A collision led to Blitzkrieg getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Fidel Bonadona hit a great ball. Blitzkrieg's Emiliano Benitez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Blitzkrieg from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Blitzkrieg's Emiliano Benitez got control of the ball when Nikolay Zanin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lisandro Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the WWW LENINGRAD defense, Serafin Janpier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stepan Babich. The WWW LENINGRAD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stepan Babich should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grigore Mergea got free with Emiliano Benitez in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lisandro Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Grigore Mergea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emiliano Benitez. That made the score 1-1 in the 83 minute of play. Lisandro Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stepan Babich having to interfere. Prudencio Bilbo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
