Angelino Nueva yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Evripidis Papadimitriou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 16 minutes into the match, Cyprus's goal looked a bit too open when Svali Bollason came free, but Iosif Moisakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Reco-Reco Uberlândia's goalkeeper Angelino Nueva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 18 minutes into the game, Evripidis Papadimitriou cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Angelino Nueva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Evripidis Papadimitriou ran back to his position shaking his head. Iosif Moisakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svali Bollason in the 44th minute of the match. Evripidis Papadimitriou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelino Nueva having to make a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Evripidis Papadimitriou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelino Nueva having to make a save. 56 minutes into the game, Cyprus's Evripidis Papadimitriou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelino Nueva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. If Evripidis Papadimitriou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Reco-Reco Uberlândia's zone, Aiakos Vardakas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelino Nueva came out of the goal and Aiakos Vardakas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the game, Aiakos Vardakas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Angelino Nueva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Reco-Reco Uberlândia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cyprus.
