A collision led to U21 Venezuela getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ruud van Nistelrooij hit a great ball. Hamdi Abdul Qadir's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Reynardo Rubin firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hatem Mujahid during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hatem Mujahid kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Castulo Cosmen in the 8th minute of play forced U21 Lebanon's goalkeeper Falah Rashid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Azmi Tawfiq kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After some careless play in the U21 Lebanon defense, William Shakespeare kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Falah Rashid. The U21 Lebanon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Falah Rashid should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute, Castulo Cosmen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Falah Rashid was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 37 minutes into the match, U21 Lebanon's goal looked a bit too open when Ruud van Nistelrooij came free, but Falah Rashid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, U21 Lebanon's Nour al Din Hamid got a free kick in the 38th minute. Abdul Ghani Rihad hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Gregorio Matas managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregorio Matas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falah Rashid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to U21 Lebanon getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Nazmi Arif hit a great ball. Gregorio Matas, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Castulo Cosmen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Mostafa Malik managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Lebanon's supporters rose to their feet, but Mostafa Malik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynardo Rubin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, Castulo Cosmen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Falah Rashid. U21 Lebanon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Castulo Cosmen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. U21 Venezuela made a substitution. Selatse Betances replaced Gregorio Matas. U21 Venezuela's Jorge-Luis Borges was substituted for Castulo Cosmen. Falah Rashid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Shakespeare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Jorge-Luis Borges took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Falah Rashid to make any attempt to save it. When Fiz Campero fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Venezuela's protests and gave Fiz Campero a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Fiz Campero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamdi Abdul Qadir in the 75th minute of play forced U21 Venezuela's goalkeeper Reynardo Rubin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dimas Barrientos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Falah Rashid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, U21 Lebanon's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jorge-Luis Borges fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 85 minutes of play, U21 Venezuela's Jorge-Luis Borges made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Falah Rashid was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, U21 Lebanon's Riad Budail got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 89 played minutes U21 Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Ereinotz Varandalla. 0-6 became the score in the 91st minute when Jorge-Luis Borges elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. U21 Venezuela's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
