After having played for 4 minutes, Leonard Burt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Comunicaciones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Burt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Vick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Gary Petty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Hoskins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marshall Kimbrough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Legacy America's zone, Phillip Lentz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Sprague came out of the goal and Phillip Lentz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walter Sprague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Burt, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. If Rashad Hutchins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Marshall Kimbrough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Sprague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walter Sprague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marshall Kimbrough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Marshall Kimbrough got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Comunicaciones's Marshall Kimbrough got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Fernando Vick made the kick off in the second half. Leonard Burt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Sprague having to interfere. Walter Sprague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rico Delarosa in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute of the match, Marshall Kimbrough tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Walter Sprague saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 57 minutes into the match, Comunicaciones's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Hoskins came free, but Gary Petty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Legacy America's goalkeeper Walter Sprague, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonard Burt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Sprague having to interfere. Leonard Burt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Walter Sprague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 67 minutes, Leonard Burt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 77 minutes of play, Comunicaciones's Marshall Kimbrough made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walter Sprague was left in no man's land by his defense there! 83 minutes into the match, Legacy America's goalkeeper Walter Sprague had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marshall Kimbrough. With a little luck, Legacy America's Walter Sprague got control of the ball when Marshall Kimbrough tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th minute, Marshall Kimbrough ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walter Sprague was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Comunicaciones left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Legacy America.
