Humberto Buitrago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Sendin's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. After 9 minutes of play, Dynamo FC Guayaquil's Rixon Artieta made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murillo Taracena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Humberto Buitrago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavies Reyna in the 14th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Fontecavada during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Dynamo FC Guayaquil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Fontecavada to maneuver through the defense. Gonzalo Sendin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Humberto Buitrago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calderón Murias stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Murillo Taracena. 2-0. Los goleadores's Murillo Taracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Fontecilla in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los goleadores's goalkeeper Murillo Taracena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angel Fontecilla to strike the kick off in the second half. Dynamo FC Guayaquil's Angel Fontecilla got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute Rixon Artieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Taracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Los goleadores getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Gonzalo Sendin hit a great ball. Urbano Horna kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Rixon Artieta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Murillo Taracena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Rixon Artieta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los goleadores's Murillo Taracena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Los goleadores's Murillo Taracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Fontecilla in the 79th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Angel Fontecilla put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Murillo Taracena. Dynamo FC Guayaquil's Humberto Buitrago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Dynamo FC Guayaquil from getting a goal against them. After 92 minutes, Gerardo Torio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dynamo FC Guayaquil and the Los goleadores players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dynamo FC Guayaquil's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
