UD Boqueron's Angel Cuezba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save UD Boqueron from getting a goal against them. After 13 minutes, Yiyo Falip mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dynamo FC Guayaquil and the UD Boqueron players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Dynamo FC Guayaquil got a freekick which was hit by Yiyo Falip. If Guamán Guardiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zernin Campo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garrido Babiano in the 16th minute of play. Yiyo Falip hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Guamán Guardiola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Zernin Campo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zernin Campo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guamán Guardiola in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Dynamo FC Guayaquil's zone, Guamán Guardiola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zernin Campo came out of the goal and Guamán Guardiola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Garrido Babiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angel Cuezba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Bodegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Garrido Babiano made a precise shot to the right of Zernin Campo. Dynamo FC Guayaquil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Guamán Guardiola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dynamo FC Guayaquil's Zernin Campo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guamán Guardiola in the 39th minute of play. Garrido Babiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zernin Campo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garrido Babiano in the 43rd minute of play forced Dynamo FC Guayaquil's goalkeeper Zernin Campo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Garrido Babiano in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zernin Campo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half UD Boqueron were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Garrido Babiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Xerardo Serantes missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 62 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Zernin Campo right hand side. Zernin Campo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garrido Babiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, Guamán Guardiola fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Garrido Babiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Zernin Campo made a huge save. In the 71st minute Yiyo Falip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Cuezba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Yiyo Falip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guamán Guardiola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Garrido Babiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zernin Campo. Dynamo FC Guayaquil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Garrido Babiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 92 minutes into the match, Dynamo FC Guayaquil's goal looked a bit too open when Garrido Babiano came free, but Zernin Campo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes, UD Boqueron's Xerardo Serantes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zernin Campo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UD Boqueron reached it.
