A collision led to Dynamo FC Guayaquil getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Pascual Ibern hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Dynamo FC Guayaquil defense, Hilmi Ergökmen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Buitrago. The Dynamo FC Guayaquil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Buitrago should have stopped the shot. After 16 played minutes Dynamo FC Guayaquil got a freekick which was hit by Angel Fontecilla. Vilson Elenes's late challenge caught a Dynamo FC Guayaquil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vilson Elenes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, Real Ilalo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilson Elenes to maneuver through the defense. Stacio Fuentetaja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 minutes of play, Real Ilalo's Hilmi Ergökmen made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Buitrago was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Rixon Artieta got free with Roberto Bue in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Rixon Artieta came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Dynamo FC Guayaquil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rixon Artieta couldn't finish the play. Rixon Artieta struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Roberto Bue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dynamo FC Guayaquil. Humberto Buitrago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilmi Ergökmen in the 39th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xuaco Acacia in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Buitrago saved Dynamo FC Guayaquil from getting behind. Xuoco Ascorbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 55th minute, Hilmi Ergökmen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Camacho Codina kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Dynamo FC Guayaquil's goalkeeper Humberto Buitrago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hilmi Ergökmen. Real Ilalo's Camacho Codina pulled a muscle in his leg after 74 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Real Ilalo booed when Dynamo FC Guayaquil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rixon Artieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Raimundo Fontecavada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dynamo FC Guayaquil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Ilalo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Dynamo FC Guayaquil's Raimundo Fontecavada got a free kick in the 78th minute. Hilmi Ergökmen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Humberto Buitrago skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Xuaco Acacia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Buitrago having to interfere. If Hilmi Ergökmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Dynamo FC Guayaquil fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Real Ilalo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
