Juarês Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Mathias Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Lino Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moacir Barbosa having to interfere. Hélder Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gameleira's Hélder Rosado got a free kick in the 11th minute. Sérgio de Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Aloísio Rosa sent off a good shot on target. If Aloísio Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Juarês Cavalcante charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juarês Cavalcante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, Cuiabá FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Cuiabá FC's Sérgio de Alcântara got control of the ball when Aloísio Rosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Thiago Silva came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Gameleira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thiago Silva couldn't finish the play. Sérgio de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Medeiros in the 26th minute of play. Aloísio Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio de Alcântara having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Medeiros in the 29th minute of play forced Cuiabá FC's goalkeeper Sérgio de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game Juninho Medeiros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuiabá FC's Sérgio de Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th minute, Juninho Medeiros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sérgio de Alcântara. The goal made the score 1-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juninho Medeiros to make the kick off. Aloísio Rosa took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sérgio de Alcântara. Sérgio de Alcântara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Juninho Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio de Alcântara having to interfere. After some careless play in the Cuiabá FC defense, Aloísio Rosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sérgio de Alcântara. The Cuiabá FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sérgio de Alcântara should have stopped the shot. Sérgio de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Cuiabá FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Juarês Cavalcante hit a great ball. Aloísio Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Sérgio de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 minutes, Sílvio Pires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuiabá FC and the Gameleira players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, one of Cuiabá FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cuiabá FC. Sérgio de Alcântara had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Edmund Neuber's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Aloísio Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio de Alcântara having to interfere. After 74 minutes of play, Gameleira's Aloísio Rosa made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sérgio de Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Medeiros in the 79th minute of play forced Cuiabá FC's goalkeeper Sérgio de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 minutes, Hélder Rosado made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cuiabá FC's Sérgio de Alcântara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute, Mathias Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute of the match Eurico Valadares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sérgio de Alcântara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Cuiabá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Medeiros came free, but Sérgio de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio de Alcântara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juninho Medeiros went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. There was no doubt that Gameleira were the better team. Gameleira's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
