Spectators: 5315 (Terracing: 4100, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 15) Corinthians's Diogo Baptista started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute of the match Teodoro Galvão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Paulo Cardozo skillfully saved the ball. Anajateua's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Angelo Oliveira scored to the left of an out of position Zé Paulo Cardozo, making the score, 1-0. Doni de Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Guimarães in the 17th minute of play forced Anajateua's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseu Sá made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Corinthians's Doni de Sena. Teodoro Galvão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zé Paulo Cardozo. Anajateua's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Corinthians's Tião Guimarães got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Teodoro Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Luizão Romero put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Giovani de Azevedo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizão Romero in the 27th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Giovani de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovani de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Jacinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nilton Saldanha hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Telmo Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Zé Paulo Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Angelo Oliveira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zé Paulo Cardozo. Angelo Oliveira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Tião Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corinthians's supporters rose to their feet, but Tião Guimarães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Paulo Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

A sloppy throw-in by Eliseu Sá in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Corinthians's Doni de Sena. After 56 minutes, Adriano Goiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corinthians and the Anajateua players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Anajateua booed when Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerson França's late challenge caught a Corinthians's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerson França helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Anajateua getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Gerson França hit a great ball. Giovani de Azevedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Raphael Teles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 67 minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Eliseu Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adriano Goiano didn't quite understand what happened when in the 74 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 76 minutes into the match, Tião Guimarães notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Anajateua's Zé Paulo Cardozo. Zé Paulo Cardozo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 82 minutes into the game, Anajateua's Leandro Jacinto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giovani de Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. If Tião Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beto Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Cardozo having to interfere. Zé Paulo Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
