After 24th play minutes Haroldo Gaúcho shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Andrézinho Mendonça and just under the crossbar into goal. Telmo Pombal hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Eduardo de Alcântara in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Hoffmann saved AEC Juta Três from getting behind. Ismael Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton Prestes in the 39th minute of play. Ismael Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafa Tinoco in the 40th minute of the match. Luiz Eduardo de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ismael Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Baiano in the 42nd minute of play forced AEC Juta Três's goalkeeper Ismael Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in AEC Juta Três's zone, Rafa Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Hoffmann came out of the goal and Rafa Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Perivaldo Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Hoffmann having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Arí Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After taking down the ball on AEC Juta Três's corner Sérgio Goiano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Andrézinho Mendonça quite easily take care of the ball.
