Mané Simão hit a great ball. In the 14th minute of the match Renan Bastos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardinho Ramalho skillfully saved the ball. Zaion F.C.'s Ricardinho Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos da Fonseca in the 16th minute of play. Frederico Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Jacinto having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Pendencias AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Paulo José Mendonça fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Frederico Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zaion F.C.'s Frederico Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Falcão in the 39th minute of play. Paulo José Mendonça took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Jacinto. Jorge Jacinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Frederico Falcão succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Carlos da Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorge Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederico Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56thth minute of the game Frederico Falcão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pendencias AD's Jorge Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Frederico Falcão struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Jorge Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zaion F.C.. After having played for 61 minutes, Paulo José Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zaion F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo José Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Zé Carlos da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pendencias AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Carlos da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardinho Ramalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frederico Falcão in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Jacinto saved Pendencias AD from getting behind.
