Spectators: 7223 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Miguel Quintal started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Pendencias AD booed when CHARRUA A.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Pendencias AD's Gil Salgado threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edmílson Amorim, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Costa in the 19th minute of play forced Pendencias AD's goalkeeper Richard de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmílson Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Salgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Richard de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pendencias AD's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eduardo de Sousa was slow to take the kick. During this time CHARRUA A.C's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on CHARRUA A.C's corner Eduardo de Sousa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Richard de Godoi quite easily take care of the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmílson Amorim made a kick off. In the 55th minute Edmílson Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
