Pirassununguense got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Sergipano. Yan Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fábio dos Santos in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jânio Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Chane's Jânio Guerra got control of the ball when Luís Fábio dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Cipriano Prestes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Pirassununguense the free kick. Jânio Guerra was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Luís Fábio dos Santos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luís Fábio dos Santos really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fábio dos Santos in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jânio Guerra saved Chane from getting behind. In the 37th minute Alexsandro de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio-Darío Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48thth minute of the game Luís Fábio dos Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chane's Jânio Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fábio dos Santos in the 69th minute of play forced Chane's goalkeeper Jânio Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Luís Fábio dos Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jânio Guerra. Chane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Fábio dos Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0.
